Keeping the Faith: The Wisdom of Simplicity

In Paulo Coelho’s brilliant little book, The Alchemist, the author tells of a young lad sent by his father to a wise man to discover the secret of happiness.

The wise man lived in a magnificent, faraway castle complete with sweet music, beautiful artwork, delicious food, and sprawling gardens. It was a wonder of the world.

After a long journey to the castle and waiting for hours to speak to the sage, the boy finally gained an audience. The wise man listened to the boy’s explanation for his visit, then answered, “I do not have time to reveal the secret of happiness to you.” Instead, he handed the boy a teaspoon with two tiny drops of oil in it, and instructed him to wander around the castle for two hours without spilling the oil.

June 9th I published the video Make The Homeless Smile. Two guys living in the U.S. supporting homeless people.

Today I discovered a similar move going on in England done by the "Anonymous" group ... Wonderful! Slowly also the European continent starts to understand that the time of the big EGO is gone. "Together" starts to work again.

Of course, the masses of our population still runs their EGO trip. But showing them on "How To" and sometimes perhaps also pushing them a little to open their eyes helps.

Watch the video below. And next time you pass by at a homeless person do not turn away ... perhaps you are one of them tomorrow.

Under a program called PRISM, Snowden claims the U.S. government has been collecting data from these companies -- such as user photos, emails and other documents -- to spy on foreign targets, and potentially American citizens as well.

Companies including Apple, Facebook and Microsoft have denied knowledge of PRISM and that they granted the government direct access to their servers. The companies have, however, released statements indicating that they have each received thousands of requests for customer information from U.S. intelligen…

How safe is fracking?
A truck carrying drill cuttings from a fracking site set off a radiation alarm at a landfill in Pennsylvania. Emitting gamma radiation ten times higher than the permitted level, the waste was rejected by the landfill.
“Long-term exposure to radium increases the risk of developing several diseases,”  the EPA writes. “Inhaled or ingested radium increases the risk of developing such diseases as lymphoma, bone cancer and diseases that affect the formation of blood, such as leukemia and aplastic anemia… External exposure to radium’s gamma radiation increases the risk of cancer to varying degrees in all tissues and organs.”
